Futomaki

Large cylindrical pieces of sushi called futomaki often have seaweed on the outside. A standard futomaki is 5-6 cm (2-2+12 inches) in diameter. [29] Usually he contains two, three, or more ingredients, each chosen to complement flavor and color. Futomaki are usually vegetarian and may contain lotus root, bamboo shoots, chopped cucumber, or winter melon.
Non-vegetarian content typically includes tamagoyaki, minnows, tuna mince, and whitefish flakes [28]. Vinegar rice is traditionally lightly seasoned with salt and sugar. Kamaboko, crab sticks, eggs, tuna and shrimp are common sources of protein. Typical examples of vegetables include cucumbers, lettuce, and pickled radish.
