Temaki

The term “temaki” refers to a giant sushi roll with seaweed on the outside and toppings overflowing from the wide end. A typical temaki roll is about 10 cm long, so it is difficult to pick it up with chopsticks, so you eat it with your fingers. Temaki should be eaten immediately after preparation for the best flavor and texture. Seaweed quickly absorbs moisture from the hummus, making it less crunchy and harder to chew. To avoid this, both prepackaged hand-rolled seaweed and take-out hand-rolled seaweed are wrapped in plastic wrap and torn before serving.
